We bring more to the trip than just catching fish. Our business is based on premium service for premium clients. We aim for you to go home with more than a cooler of fish, we want to send you home with irreplaceable memories, better fishing technique, and a desire to come back soon.

Where We Fish

Although we specialize in fishing the Aransas Bay / Rockport area, we offer trips from Port O'Connor to Port Mansfield. We have a number of great spots to hit and can take you fishing anywhere in this region.

How We Fish

Fishing is about so much more than just catching. We enjoy a variety of fishing adventures with our sportsman, but specialize in wade fishing, flounder gigging, and site casting for Redfish.

The Guide Smith was founded by Captain Griffin Smith, a Texas State University Graduate originally from the Austin Area. Read more about Griffin in the "About" section of our website.

CCB Grande

We are excited to take people out in our 2020 CCB Grande. We go fast, get shallow, and catch fish!

Available Lodging

We offer lodging on the desired Key Allegro Island. A 3-bed 3-bath condo surrounded by water, with a dock out front for us to pick you up and take you fishing. Our condo overlooks a resort-style swimming pool at the end of a private drive. We offer special rates for lodging and guiding fishing packages.
